“When I was 12 years old, I was with friends pretending to ice skate on their frozen pond in our tennis shoes. It was a beautiful, crisp winter day. My friends got their three-wheeled ATV out and were racing over the pond. I tried to grab the steel handle on the back of it to be pulled along, but my hand slipped off, and I flipped backward, landing on my head. I suffered a severe head injury, and was rushed to the hospital. From that brain injury, I had to re-learn the English language. Before the accident, I was in love with books, devouring Nancy Drew mysteries from the Book Mobile that would visit my neighborhood. After the accident, I could not read. It took a very long time, but not only did I learn to read again, but I fell in love with the rhythm of words, and began to write stories.”

This year Linda Hawley published the first two books in a thriller series called The Prophecies. Book one is called Dreams Unleashed. Book two is called Guardian of Time.
